The DVDirect can also connect to your PC for DVD burning. The main plus is the fact that you can take your old VHS tapes and archive them unto a DVD for future keep or travel. The DVDirect is very versatile when it comes to burning and editing. It can burn onto either a single or double sided DVD. Using Nero software and allowing drag-and-drop burning, Sony’s new toy has the features of a standard Internal or External burner. At a price of $299.99, it is good for on the road burning and VHS archiving but for an everyday use with your PC it’s not a recommended.
