Sony's PSP US Launch
![]() |
With all the latest news from overseas, the one good news from here in America is that the Sony PSP is to be launched in the this month. Earlier articles on the Sony PSP "Sony's latest do-it-all gadget, the PlayStation Portable (PSP), is a mobile entertainment system for the masses and is due to launch in America this month. The world's largest maker of video game consoles hopes to change what consumers expect from portable electronics. The PSP may be small enough to hold in your hand but its creating a big fuss with its impressive specifications. Despite other all-in-one devices not going over so well, market analysts are predicting the portable will easily sell out the one million units Sony is shipping for its March 24 debut. The PSP is punch filled in a tiny 10 ounce package with games, movies and photos brought to life on a small 4.3 inch widescreen. Previous handhelds have lost much of the detail in translating graphics from larger screens to portables - not so the PSP. Sony's newest baby plays displays video games approaching PlayStation 2 quality and movies from tiny Universal Media discs in stunning detail. Lest we forget, it also displays quality digital photos and acts as an MP3 player as well. The PSP comes a decade after Sony entered the video game business with the PlayStation console."
