AMD Dual-Core Chip Price Leak

Since the AMD dual-core Opteron will be shipped on Thursday, prices for the units have been floating around. Don't be fooled by the heavy prices. Even if you have a top of the line single-core chip doesn't mean you have a bad chip. Always check the clock speeds and performances before cashing out on the new item. Below is a pricing leak on what they will run. The entry-level Opteron 865 processor will be priced at $1,514, the same level as the high-end single-core Opteron 852, while the 870 will be priced at $2,149 and the 875 will be priced at $2,649, according to the motherboard makers. |
