Macromedia brings changes to Flash
![]() |
Macromedia has undergone some major updates and changes over the past couple months. Their new software, intended to reach a bigger group, will prove to be top standard in mobile media and Flash video. "Updates due this year in Flash 8 include both interface changes, to make things easier for designers familiar with other Macromedia applications, such as the Dreamweaver Web-authoring tool, and eye candy for end users, which Macromedia hopes will lure video publishers as well as designers to the Flash format."[via news.com] Major changes in the Flash format will push Macromedia up next to the top streaming media providers. Flashforward 2005 conference is heading to NYC now. There should be a lot of good news from the media software company. There was still one major question on everyone's mind. How can we get search engines like Google to crawl Flash sites? The question is pondered constantly and no real solution has been met. Search engine crawlers search out and read text. Flash pages are considered to be a 'one file' page. This will lose the text inside the Flash and therefore it will not be indexed. geekBlue will test out the new software Macromedia has to offer and have a review soon.
