Mandrakesoft and Conectiva join to make Mandriva

Big name change in the operating system sector. Mandrakesoft has announced that it will change its name into Mandriva. This all came about because of the merge with Conectiva and the legal disputes on using the name Mandrake. From now on, the distribution will bear the name Mandriva Linux, and the producers have already asked for the support of the open-source community to promote the new name.
