Sony Viaos to include Blu-ray technology
![]() |
Blu-ray storage format was introduced by Sony a while ago. (article here) Now Sony is announcing that they will pack their Viao Laptops with the technology. DSD, Direct Stream Digital, will also be added for optimal use of audio files. "DSD is the core HD audio technology that is found at the heart of the Super Audio CD platform that Sony developed with Philips. Supported by over 250 record companies worldwide, SACD is seen as the next generation Compact Disc, although so far it has only carved a niche in the market." [via theregister] Sony is during this with hopes to increase the desire for the new storage format. With the slight tease of putting it in Viaos then something else is planning to be exposed soon. geekBlue is thinking pocket media players that use the Blu-ray technology. We will stay on top of it and keep you updated. |
