Cell Phone Testing from Siemens

Below is a section from the Siemens' site. The articles are pretty interesting. I would really like to know what the testing requirements for some phones are because it seems to me the people creating and selling them were jacked up on something when they came up with the idea.

" Mobile phone keys must be able to withstand the demands of popular SMS messaging. This is why the keys on the new devices are pressed up to 400,000 times in the Siemens test lab. The keypad test is one of some 20 basic tests used to test the quality of all Siemens handsets. "
