Gyroscope Hands-on Review
![]() |
It's not very often we here at geekBlue get mechanical devices. This piece of hardware, provided by Gyroscope.com, is a top of the line gyroscope. The uses for this device can be found in many of your new gadgets out on the market. One of the major items is the Segway, which we did a post back in March over the new models. A gyroscope is used to level or balance objects. There is a short video in this review that shows this little tiger in action. |
The Super Precision Gyroscope arrived with the Gimbals kit that is comprised of parts used to change around the objectives of the gyroscope itself. The kit includes the following parts:
1 x Platform These parts are used with the Super Precision Gyroscope which is a separate package. The Super Precision Gyroscope come with the parts below but you will need to obtain 4 AA batteries in order to power the motor. 1 x Gyroscope |
The body of the gyroscope itself is made of very strong stainless steel. The disk that spins is made of solid brass. Both are manufactured with such precision that once the motor is detached during our tests the brass disk spun for over 6 mins. There are virtually unlimited possibilities when testing, playing, or using a gyroscope. As mentioned before the popular Segway uses a gyroscope in order to keep the scooter balance while sitting still or moving. The better the machinery is manufactured the better the gyroscope will perform. We have found that Gyroscope.com provides top of the line hardware for every level of use. Using them to learning about technology or even just for playing around, a gyroscope can be a fun and simple way to learn about the mechanics of technology.
