It was announced yesterday at the Comic-Con International that Marvel Enterprises has given Microsoft exclusive worldwide rights to make massively multiplayer online role-playing games with Marvel comic book characters.  The game will be exclusively produced for Microsoft's upcoming game console, the Xbox 360.  Most times, MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-player games) are developed for the PC.

What does this mean to you?  If you were anxiously waiting for a MMORPG that featured Marvel comic characters (especially after last month's annoucement from DC Comics ), you have to buy an Xbox 360.  Considering the success of City of Heroes (another MMORPG), this is a huge coup for Microsoft.[co-published with TechAngel]
