Blu-Ray Next Generation DVD Gets Another Big Backer

Universal Music Group has announced its support for Sony's Blu-ray optical disc format for next-generation DVDs. Blu-ray has a storage capacity of 50GB, over 10x of what a current DVD will hold, and is developed by Sony and used in the upcoming PlayStation 3 gaming console.
