| A new addition to the PowerShot S lineup is the Canon PowerShot S80. The S80 has a 6x optical zoom while the older S70 only has a 3.6x. There are other small differences but you'll need to compare before you make the purchase. Over-all a very good PowerShot by Canon. It offers a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 compatibility offers faster communication with computers, speeding up file transfers. You will need that when you upload your massive 8.0 Megapixels images. It has a 2.5" LCD screen and the total size is also smaller than the older S70. The S80 should cost around $549 when it hits the store shelves. |
