USAToday uses Shortcodes for cell phones
| Right now, USA Today is utilizing the shortcode, 44636, to let their readers get instant news, sports, and weather updates. For example, the paper in front of me says “For a 5-day forecast in your area, send text message with W and your city (i.e. W Denver) or zip code (i.e. W 80203) to 44636. Another page has “For live sports scores and stats, send text message with Team Name (i.e. red sox) or Player Name (i.e. david Ortiz) to 44636.” [thanks jon] |
