Apple blames iPod Nano problems on fatsos

There's been a lot of talk about customers finding that their iPod nano's screen break very easily.  Well, Apple has officially acknowledged that a number of iPod nano owners (actually only .1%) have reported problems with the iPod nano.  Customers are reporting instances where after removing the iPod from their front pockets, they find that the LCD screen is cracked and may no longer function.  Apple's Phil Schiller responded with this in a press release:  "It is not a design issue. It has more to do with obese Americans in tight pants putting the nano in their front jeans pocket, and then sitting for extended periods of time."  This has upset the obese community, and the American Obesity Association in particular.  According to AOA's Gabrielle Vargas, Apple computers have always been a favorite of heavy Americans, due in large part to Apple's insistance on using a 1-button mouse, which is perfectly designed for fat fingers, and since Apple's OS does not depend on multi-button mice. "It is this loyalty from our members that has helped Apple capture over 3% of the personal computer market. For Apple to now blame manufacturing defects in it newest iPod on 'fat people wearing tight pants' is just plain wrong." via
