KidsWatch Time Control is a new parental control software package that has just been released.  This software allows parents to set up individualized settings for each child in the household.  KidsWatch Time Control lets parents monitor and control how much time their children spend on the computer, the programs they use, and prevent children from installing and running unapproved programs or websites.  Product Page

Features of KidsWatch Time Control include:

  • Set the amount of total time that each child can use the computer, what programs can be used, how long they can use the various programs, and what hours of each day the programs can be accessed.
  • Access to detailed activity reports of the websites that each child has visited in the past day/week/month, the other programs they used, how much total time was spent using each computer application.

  • Limit Internet surfing, chatting, and game playing to a time and duration with which both the child and parent are comfortable.

  • Filter out websites that parents have deemed inappropriate, or only allow access to a handful of sites for younger children who do not need the computer for chatting or school work.

  • Only parents have the administrative options to change restrictions, and each child has their own personal password so that siblings cannot “steal” time.

KidsWatch Time Control is a program that allows parents to mix and match the options for each individual child so that they can create a schedule that matches that specific household’s needs. With KidsWatch, parents can ensure each child is making time for physical activity and engaging social skills rather than spending hours on the computer every day.
