EyeFi, the WiFi-enabled SD card
![]() |
Although WiFi enabled digital cameras have been around for quite some time, the adoption rate is nothing to shout about. Enter the EyeFi, a WiFi-enabled SD card that is outfitted into a camera' SD card slot. Not only can you transfer your pictures directly to the PC or printer wirelessly, you can upload them to an online photo album like Flickr as well. There are no plans to commercialize it at the moment as it is still very much under development at the moment, but you can expect to see the EyeFi hit the market sometime this year at a consumer-friendly price that's around current SD card levels.
