Upgrade Your Router

router.jpg

This is a neat article from Lifehacker.

The article explains how to take a Linksys router, upgrade the firmware, and embedding linux.

After doing that, you’re able to set bandwidth limits, signficantly increase the transmit power, and other advanced options.

Sounds like an awesome hack. I think I’d actually try it, but I don’t currently have a wireless router. I just have a really long ethernet cable that I drag around my apartment. Via
