Philips Cineos HTS9800W Entertainment System
|
If you're looking for a stylish, all-in-one entertainment system to outfit the pad both simply and (relatively) affordably (expected at around $650), you could do worse than this Philips Cineos HTS9800W [product page, without useful pics]. The 6.1 surround sound system includes a central DVD player wired to three front speakers and connected to three rear speakers wirelessly. All speakers are designed flat (and mountable), outputting at 125W for the front three, 85W for the rear l/r, and 105W for the rear center, in addition to a 150W subwoofer. The system is HSDMI-equipped, with video upscaling, and supports DVD, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RW (Video mode), DVD-R, CD, MP3, WMA, etc. No detials just yet on availability in the US, but it's probably worth keeping an eye on for a smooth entertainment system solution.
