Panansonic has updated the hi-tech specs of its military Toughbook, with the updated one now featuring latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and brighter touchscreens to be used effectively in daylight. The fastest fully-rugged notebook PC sells for around $4000 for the 10.4? screen Toughbook-19, and around $4500 for a fully-equipped Toughbook-30 that features a 13.3-inch screen.

But, if you are not planning to spend even that much for a new laptop, then we have got another rugged option for you, NEC's ShieldPro waterproof laptop that can withstand as cold as 20 degrees Celsius, and can be dropped from a height of 90cm. The waterproof notebook, FC; N21S weighs a light 2.5Kg and it will retail for a mere $2,607, coming January. Via
